Accessibility Statement

VidiScope GmbH is committed to making its reservation services accessible. This statement describes the extent to which the services comply with the German Accessibility Improvement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) and its implementing regulation. The technical basis is the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA.

Scope

  • the guest portal vidireserve.com (restaurant search, restaurant and event pages, reservations and bookings),
  • the public pages of partner.vidireserve.com including registration,
  • the reservation widget that partner businesses embed on their own websites, together with the "Accessible version" provided as a standalone booking page,
  • the booking forms for table reservations and events.

This statement does not cover the closed management area for partner businesses (back office) or internal administration interfaces. For the partner app, the information in the respective app stores applies.

How a reservation works

  1. Choose a date and the number of guests – using a date field and a selection list, or the monthly calendar, which can be operated entirely with the keyboard.
  2. Choose a free time from the list of available times. The number of available times is announced to assistive technology automatically.
  3. Enter your name, e-mail address and phone number and submit the reservation. Missing or incorrect entries are explained directly at the field concerned, and data already entered is preserved.

You receive the confirmation on screen and by e-mail. Changes and cancellations are possible via the link in the confirmation.

Compliance status

The services listed above are partially compliant with the requirements. Implemented measures include:

  • full keyboard operation, including the calendar (arrow keys, Home/End, Page Up/Down), time selection and dialogs with a visible focus indicator;
  • labels and status messages for screen readers (form fields, selected times, loading states, dialogs, calendar days with date and availability);
  • colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 in the default design; if a partner business chooses its own brand colour, the text colour is selected automatically so that contrast is preserved;
  • magnification up to 400% without loss of content or functionality; support for the system setting for reduced motion;
  • an "Accessible version" of the widget as a standalone page without an embedded frame, reachable via a link in every widget;
  • support for autofill of name, e-mail and phone, and clearly associated error messages.

Non-accessible content and known limitations

  • Testing with assistive technology: The assessment is based on a technical self-evaluation (source code review, automated tests with axe-core, keyboard tests) and a walkthrough with the VoiceOver screen reader (macOS, Safari) on 6 September 2026 covering the booking form, time selection, error messages and the widget's calendar dialog. Tests with NVDA (Windows) and TalkBack (Android) and an external audit are still outstanding and planned for the coming months.
  • Content provided by partner businesses: Photos, menus (including PDFs) and descriptive texts are maintained by the businesses themselves. We therefore cannot guarantee alternative texts or accessible documents in every case.
  • Protection against automated requests: When a reservation is submitted, a third-party service (Cloudflare Turnstile) is used, which usually runs without any user action. Should it prevent a reservation in individual cases, please use the alternatives listed below.
  • Further pages: Restaurant and event pages of the guest portal are being reviewed and improved step by step.

Accessible alternatives

  • The "Accessible version" link in every widget opens the booking form as a standalone page.
  • Every partner business also accepts reservations by phone or e-mail; contact details are shown on the respective restaurant page.
  • Our support team assists with any difficulties and can take reservation requests for you.
